About R.J. Morrissey


R.J. Morrissey is an artist whose works appear in the private collections of such notables as Wade Boggs, Shaquille O'Neal, Jim Rice, Kenny Loftin, Paul Sorrento, former Florida governors Bob Martinez and Bob Graham, former Florida Agriculture Secretary Doyle Connor, Dr. J.D. Morgan, Dr. Jay Stine, Sterling Plumbing Group in Chicago and many more.

Mr. Morrissey has exhibited in many galleries and outdoor festivals such as Winter Park, South Miami, Festival of States, Gasparilla Art Festival, Butler Art Institute and the Society 4 Arts in West Palm Beach. He was commissioned to do five Florida citrus prints to promote the Florida Citrus Industry. He has numerous hotel commissions throughout the United States. He was involved with several art associations.

Mr. Morrissey has been Director of a cultural arts complex, as well as a frame and gallery shop operator. He has taught art, painting, watercolor, drawing, and figure drawing at the college level for 30 years. He has also taught mural painting for many years as well as designed and executed many murals himself. He holds double masters degrees in Fine Art. He has had numerous one-man shows in cities such as Naples, Tampa and Chicago. He has served as a judge and juror at gallery shows and outdoor art festivals throughout Florida.

Mr. Morrissey's work has appeared in publications such as Art Business News, American Arts, USA Today and Baseball Weekly. His work has also been featured at the Museum of Science and the New England Sports Museum in Boston and at the Water Tower in Chicago.
